Crane Association of New Zealand Conference 2021

Crane Association of New Zealand Conference 2021

The crane industry gathered in July at Claudelands Event Centre in Hamilton for the first time in two years due to Covid-19. They were facing both change and opportunity and the conference was the perfect time to come together and showcase a bespoke programme with high calibre speakers and specifically tailored content.

This year’s conference theme “Change is coming. Building a world class crane industry in our own backyard” saw around 250 attendees bring their knowledge and passion for the crane industry to Hamilton as we embarked on what is now known as the largest and only outdoor crane event in the country!

The outdoor crane exhibition itself took nearly 2 days to pack in and seeing it all come together was not only an experience for the client but for us too.

We managed various components for this event including delegate registration, accommodation, travel requirements, entertainment and artwork design, crane movement/operations/logistics, speakers and more!

This year we added a mobile app component to this event which allows exhibitors to interact with all delegates on a higher level and provide targeted advertising.

Over the three days we organised three different evening social events – Supplier night, welcome function and the gala dinner which proved to be the standout event of the whole conference!

Our custom-made table centre pieces for the gala dinner (held at Wintec Atrium) consisted of a crane build (that moved) with seed lights, finished off with small construction items. We worked alongside a local company (The Event Company) to make it a gala dinner to remember.

The conference was a huge success with delegates, exhibitors, speakers coming together to share their knowledge, engage with and share ideas with fellow industry experts.

Next year’s conference will be held at Claudelands Event Centre again and we cant wait to create an even bigger outdoor crane display and draw in more attendees!
